Standard ramp fuel loads, as established and approved by 21AF/22AF are authorized for home station departures.
Cruise ceiling (300 FPM rate of climb) is used to determine initial level-off & highest acceptable altitude.

       Cruise Ceiling Chart

Holding fuel - based on 4-engine endurance at an airspeed of 10 knots above best endurance airspeed, 20 bank, temp. dev. of +15 C, and an altitude of: 10,000' for 45 min. or 20,000' for 1+15.

ALTERNATE FUEL
  1. For alternates up to 200 NM from destination - includes fuel to climb from 10,000' to 20,000' and cruise at .60 M.
  2. For alternates over 200 NM from destination - includes fuel to climb from 10,000' to 33,000' and cruise at .74M.
  3. For alternates over 500 NM away, a 10% reserve is added.

Lowest acceptable flight level: Unidentified extra fuel is the only fuel available to compute lowest acceptable constant flight level. If there is no unidentified extra, the lowest acceptable is the planned altitude. FL 290 is the lowest entry required.

DECOMPRESSION FUEL PLANNING

If decompression with patients or pax who require a lower cabin alt. would cause a descent to an unplanned cruise alt., additional fuel may be required. Assess this situation as follows:
CONDITION

ACTION

Crew only, able to continue mission at FL 250, LRC possible.

No computation required.
Pax/patients require descent not below FL 200, flight at LRC possible.

Computation required IF distance between suitable airfields exceeds 3700 NM.
Pax/patients req. descent below FL 200, flight at LRC possible.
Computation required.
