1981 World Champion United States Helicopter Team Awards

The National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. put up an exhibit of the team in March of 1982.

Chief Warrant Officer George Chrest and Captain Stephen Kee were awarded the AHS International Frederick L. Feinberg Award for 1982

CWO George Chrest was the pilot at the controls during the competition and Captain Kee was his navigator and bucket controller.

CWO George Chrest and Captain Stephen Kee were awarded the Army's Distinguished Flying Cross for their performance at the world championship. All of the other pilots on the team were awarded the Army's Air Medal.
