Anyway thanks again for sharing your experience, expertise and knowledge, it has been invaluable. I intend to build a blackface Princeton (or more accurately a Deluxe Reverb vibrato channel, less the vibrato, 4 dual triodes required) next using subminiature valves in the preamp and 2 or maybe 4 x 6aQ5 miniature 6V6 analogues, transformers permitting. I hope you find some of this of interest.  Incidentally your website is one of 2 that I frequently consult for information. The other is Rod Elliott's Elliott Sound Products. He is an Australian sound engineer who prefers solid state, but has a very well structured analysis of all things valve amp related, some of it quite critical of Fender and Marshall and with many suggestions for improvements of some recurring design flaws.
