Calculate Tire Diameter & Section Width

Tire width (mm):     Aspect ratio:     Wheel size (inches):

Tire diameter (inches) =   Tire Height

Tire section width (inches) =   Widest part of the tire sidewall, not the tread width

Tire sidewall (inches) =   Sidewall Height or Section Height

Tire circumference (inches) =   How far the tire will roll in one rotation

This calculator will calculate an estimated tire diameter (height) from the standard information given on the sidewall: width, aspect ratio, and wheel size.
Actual tire sizes vary by manufacturer.
The stock 93 RX-7 tires were 225/50/16 (225mm section width, 50% aspect ratio, 16 inch wheel).
See the Wheel Offset Diagram for an explanation of section width.
